SAINT LUCIA PACKING LIST

IT'S EASY TO OVERPACK FOR VACATION, especially when heading to an island like St. Lucia. There are so many things to do that vary greatly in terms of what you need to have or wear. Most travelers should be able to keep their packing for a week-long trip to a medium-sized suitcase and a carry-on! 

HERE'S OUR LIST:

RESORT CASUAL CLOTHES - Think shorts, flowy tops, sun dresses, and t-shirts. 2- 4 bottoms are ideal and try packing one more top than you have days.

SWIMWEAR WITH A COVER - Covers are strongly encouraged when stepping indoors. Two bathing suits should allow you comfort if one is still damp from the previous day, with that being said you will probably spend a lot of your time in the water. If this sounds like you pack at least five.

1-2 "BEACH FORMAL" OUTFITS - Think polo and khakis for men and your nicest sundress for women, for enjoying a nice evening meal at a fancy island restaurant.

COMFORTABLE CASUAL SANDALS - Great for traveling or getting about your resort.

FLIP FLOPS OR WATER SHOES - For the pool, snorkeling, or heading to the beach.

STURDY HIKING SHOES - If you are an avid adventurist and have hiking boots, it would be ideal for climbing The Pitons. Otherwise, sturdy tennis shoes or walking shoes (with a back, closed toes, and laces) are ideal for nature paths, and soft adventure activities.

ONE PAIR OF NICE SHOES - To go with your "beachy formal" look and outing.

PROPER POWER CONVERTER - Though most resorts will have some available.

REEF SAFE SUNSCREEN - (If you have a preference) otherwise this can easily be purchased on the island.

CAMERA - There are many great photo ops, come prepared!

SMALL BAG/FANNIE PACK - For excursions for your keys, wallet, phone, etc.

A DRY BAG - To keep your sensitive items DRY in wet places.

RAIN PONCHO - Rain tends to come and go quickly, but St. Lucia is considered a rainforest! You will get wet.
